# How do I update the devices my app is compatible with?

When you submit an Android app to the Amazon Appstore, the attributes in your [app manifest](https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/manifest/manifest-intro.html) and `build.gradle` files determine what devices your app can be installed on. Incompatibilities between these files and a device’s capabilities will prevent your binary file from being supported on that device.

After you upload your app file, the number of supported devices appears in the **Step 2: Target Your App** section of the submission process. To manage which devices your app file supports, select **Edit supported devices**.
