I’ve been seeing a significant decline in paid app sales since the beginning of 2026, with the situation becoming much worse since September.

We’ve been doing everything we can to improve our apps: releasing regular updates, launching new apps and games, and running promotions continuously. Despite all these efforts, sales keep dropping.

What’s interesting is that when we temporarily make our paid apps free, downloads increase significantly. This suggests that users are still interested in our apps, but something seems to be affecting paid apps specifically.

Could this be related to recent changes in the Amazon Appstore, Fire TV interface, or app discovery algorithms?

I’m trying to understand what we’re doing wrong, because we’re constantly improving our apps, yet the decline continues.

**Have other developers noticed the same trend?** And has anyone received any explanation from Amazon about what’s happening?
