# Issues migrating from Amazon Fling to Matter Casting

We’re working on migrating from Amazon Fling to Matter Casting following the announcement that Amazon Fling will be discontinued on March 5, 2026, and that Matter Casting is the recommended replacement.

While integrating Matter Casting into our app, we’ve run into a few issues and would really appreciate some guidance:

1. **Availability on Fire OS 7+ devices**  
We have many devices running Fire OS 7 or higher, but Matter Casting does not appear to be available on them.

2. **iOS casting error (Code=50 / Timeout)**  
When trying to connect to a Fire TV from our iOS app, casting fails with the following error:

3. **CustomerID allowlist**  
It seems we may need to have our CustomerID added to an allowlist for Matter Casting to work correctly.

Any help, documentation links, or examples would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello @Toggle_Apps ,

Matter Casting is supported on Fire OS 7+ Fire TV devices. Please check for the Matter Casting option under **Settings \> Display & Sounds \> Matter Casting**.

Could you also provide the Fire TV logs related to the error?

We are in the process of allow-listing your account and will let you know once it is completed.
