# 👉 Bug Description * * * ## 1. Summary I am currently using hls.js for both LIVE and DVR playback. However, when attempting to play a **DVR stream** , I observe that **only the audio plays** and the **screen remains black**. This issue does not occur with LIVE streams. **Bug Severity** Select one that applies - Impacts operation of app - Blocks current development - Improvement suggestion - Issue with documentation (If selected, please share the doc link and describe the issue) - Other ## 2. Steps to Reproduce 1. `Set up hls.js player` 2. `Playback any dvr videos` ## 6. Environment _Please fill out the fields related to your bug below:_ - **SDK Version:** 0.20.3719 - **App State:** `[Foreground/Background` - **OS Information** Please ssh into the device via `kepler exec vda shell`and copy the output from `cat /etc/os-release`into the answer section below. _Note, if you don’t have a simulator running or device attached `kepler exec vda shell` will respond with `vda: no devices/emulators found`_ * * * ## 👉 Playback Issues * * * - **Player SDK:** `[Hls.js]` - **Player SDK Version:** `[1.5.11-r1.3]` - **Audio Codecs:** `[AAC, ...]` - **Video Codecs:** `[h.264, mp4]` - **Manifest Types:** `[m3u8, dash, etc ..]` ---

Hi @Ivy , I have not yet been able to share the logs with our Amazon partner. The DVR playback issue, where the screen remains black, is intermittent—it happens sometimes and not others. I plan to send the logs once I can consistently reproduce the black screen phenomenon. Best regards, Jo Shinozaki ---
