I have an app I built and installed it on the fire kids 8 tablet. I would like to share this app with my child however when I go to the manage content section, the app is not listed to be shared. Strangely as well, I installed the Youtube app on my profile and tried to share it to my child’s profile just to see if it would appear and it also did not appear.
Can someone on Amazon explain whether this is a bug or not? I am trying to not jump to conclusions but it is frustrating.
For the app you built, since this is an account/app-specific issue, please log into your developer account, provide the app’s package name and App ID through the “Contact Us” form so we can investigate further.
Only apps purchased from the Amazon Appstore, either on your devices or from the Amazon Retail website using “Get” or “Download” button, can be shared with a Kids Profile in your Fire Kids 8 tablet.
For apps you purchased through Amazon Appstore such as YouTube app, as an end user, you can reach out to Amazon customer service for assistance in adding it to a Kids Profile.
For apps you develop yourself, they first need to be submitted and published through your Amazon developer account and get via Amazon Appstore. If your app still doesn’t show up, feel free to log into your developer account and submit a “Contact Us” form with the app’s information (package name or App ID). We’ll be happy to take a closer look.
