Amazon Developer Console Account and Publishing Requirements

I am new to the Amazon Developer Console and would appreciate some clarification on a few points:

  1. Is the Amazon Developer account completely free to use?
  2. If I register as an individual or as a company, are there any differences in the services or features provided by the Developer Console, or is it entirely free and the same for all account types?
  3. If I plan to develop and publish games on the Amazon Appstore, do I need to create a separate seller account, or is the developer account sufficient for publishing and monetisation?
  4. What else should I know before start developing games on Amazon Appstore?

I would be grateful for your guidance on these matters.

Hello @Zain_Shahbaz ,

Thanks for your post, and welcome to Amazon Appstore! Please see my replies inline:

  1. Is the Amazon Developer account completely free to use?
The Amazon Appstore developer account has no annual fee. However, a revenue share is deducted from your sales. For more details, please refer to the Distribution Schedule section of the Amazon Developer Services Agreement.

  2. If I register as an individual or as a company, are there any differences in the services or features provided by the Developer Console, or is it entirely free and the same for all account types?
There is no difference in functionality between individual and corporate accounts. Neither account type has an annual fee.

  3. If I plan to develop and publish games on the Amazon Appstore, do I need to create a separate seller account, or is the developer account sufficient for publishing and monetisation?
There’s no need to create a separate Seller account, as the Amazon Appstore Developer Console and Amazon Seller Central are separate platforms. An Appstore developer account is sufficient for publishing and monetizing apps on the Amazon Appstore.

  4. What else should I know before start developing games on Amazon Appstore?
