Starting September 15, 2026, Amazon Appstore will discontinue support for the Appstore Billing Compatibility SDK. New features such as subscription modifications and add-ons will only be available through the native Appstore SDK. The Easy Port Gradle plugin will also be discontinued on September 15th, as both features are interconnected.
Your existing IAP integration through the Appstore Billing Compatibility SDK will continue to function after September 15, 2026. However, to access new capabilities and ensure the best customer experience across Amazon devices, we recommend migrating to the native Appstore SDK.
Migrating to the native Appstore SDK
Based on developer feedback, migration can take less than a week. The native Amazon Appstore SDK for In-App Purchasing supports:
- Full range of IAP features, including subscriptions, consumables, and entitlements
- Subscription modifications, add-ons, and future feature developments
- Regular updates, active maintenance, and comprehensive documentation
- Direct integration with Amazon Appstore for a more stable foundation
