INSTALL_FAILED_USER_RESTRICTED message when trying to install app on Fire TV

PS 7680/4923

I’m using adb to install a 3rd party app I downloaded but it appears that I am not authorised to install it. I get the above message from adb.

I have a Fire Stick and I can install the app with adb without any problem. Is there a known problem with Fire TV ?

How do I get authorisation to install an app, I can connect to the Fire TV with the adb developer tools and access the device but not install apps ? Thanks any help appreciated

Could you please create a contact-us case using the developer account with the following information? Please also refer to this post in the case:

  1. App Name (you want to download & Install)
  2. Device DSN
  3. Logs and Screenshot

Additionally, can you check if this app is available in Amazon Appstore?
