Big news for Fire TV and app developers — Vega OS is a new operating system built specifically for our devices, including the new Fire TV Stick 4K Select. We’ve also introduced Vega Developer Tools, a suite of self-service resources to help you build for Vega OS-powered devices.

• We integrated and preloaded common app components — including React Native and web app libraries — into the OS to support smaller app sizes and more consistent performance.
• Our guides and documentation will help you build a great app for Vega OS, whether you’re wrapping your existing web app or building with React Native for the first time.
• We’re launching Vega Developer Tools in Open Beta to refine the building experience through your feedback, so we can continue to make it easier for you to build apps and grow your business on Fire TV.
