“More apps by this developer” section shows unrelated apps across multiple listings

Hello Amazon Appstore Support Team,

I’m writing to report an issue we have consistently observed throughout this week with the “More apps by this developer” section on app detail pages in the Amazon Appstore.

Issue description

Normally, the “More apps by this developer” section should display other titles published by the same developer. However, for the entire week, this section has been showing unrelated apps from other developers instead. The same set of popular apps appears repeatedly, such as Minecraft, Downloader, HBO Max, and similar large titles.

Scope and verification

  • The issue is not limited to our apps — we are seeing it on many (seemingly all) app listings we checked.

  • We tested multiple geographies and multiple Amazon Fire Tablet devices.

  • The behavior is consistent: the section keeps showing the same unrelated popular apps rather than the developer’s own portfolio.

Impact

Because of this, users cannot discover and install our other apps via this section, which negatively affects the user experience and also reduces legitimate cross-discovery traffic for developers.

I’m attaching a screenshot where the issue is clearly visible.

Could you please investigate and let us know if this is a known issue and whether a fix is in progress?

Thank you very much for your time and support.

Hi @Evgeny ,

Thanks for your post. The “More Apps by This Developer” section uses the developer name as its search criteria, so apps from different developers with the same name may be grouped together in this section.

If, after reviewing the ASIN, you believe that the distribution of this content infringes your rights, you may file a formal complaint with Amazon’s legal team at: https://www.amazon.com/report/infringement

Doing so will ensure that the appropriate team receives and reviews your request and is able to determine the appropriate action.

Hi @Emma we are also facing the same issue withour account. I want to inform you that this is not due to same developer name. Because the apps which show under “More Apps by This Developer” is the app from other developer and their developer name is different from us like the minecraft game is show under our “More Apps by This Developer”. Please let look this issue because it has create major performnace issue.

Thanks

Hi @Emma, +1 -

this is really not related to the developer name.

Here is an example: the developer names are different, but in all cases we see the same games and apps in the “More Apps by This Developer” section that have nothing to do with these developers. Screenshots attached.

Thanks for providing further information. We have messaged the appropriate team for further investigation and will let you know once we receive an update.
