Hey all,
Some confusion around the OS v1.2 update:
I have a Fire TV Stick 4K Select devices that is currently on OS 1.1 (1401010446050). Is OS 1.2, released in August with RN 083 support supposed to auto-install on devices using OTA? Doing a forcedUpdate has no effect.
I suspect it is not publicly available yet, as I see here that OS 1.1 is still latest available version for FireTV 4K Select: https://digprjsurvey.amazon.com/csad/help/node/G201497590
Kind regards,
Tom.

Hi @Tom_Van_Laerhoven ,
Thank you for your question about the OS 1.2 update.
OS 1.2 has reached 100% rollout for supported Vega OS devices. If your device is still showing OS 1.1, please try the following:
Navigate to Settings > My Fire TV > About
Select Check for Updates
Install any available update and verify the OS version
Vega-supported Fire TV devices receive Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates automatically. For more details, please refer to:
If the update still doesn’t appear after these steps, please let us know — happy to help further.
Best regards,
Aishwarya
Hey Aishwarya,
Thanks for your reply. The issue remains though, even after “Check for Updates” and forced update:
% vega exec vda shell ace mw ota forceUpdate
Ret: 0 Duration : 2 ms
% vega exec vda shell cat /etc/os-release
