I’ve recently published my app on the Amazon Appstore, but I encountered an unexpected issue - I can’t download my own app due to geographical restrictions.
I live in Poland, and my app’s primary language is Polish (though it also supports English). The vast majority of my user base consists of Polish users. However, after publishing on Amazon, I received the following error:
“You are not eligible to purchase this app due to geographical restrictions.”
I contacted Amazon support twice, but both times I received the same generic response:
“Not all apps are available to customers in all countries. We reserve the right to restrict any app or IAP item from sale in any country where the distribution of that app’s content may violate the country’s laws, cultural norms, or sensitivities. Due to the high volume of app submissions, we cannot address the specific reasons individual apps are not available in specific countries.”
This is a major issue for me since Poland is my primary market, and this restriction essentially blocks my target audience. I need to find a way to make my app available in Poland, but so far, support has been unhelpful.
Does anyone know if there’s a way to request another review or appeal this decision? Or is Amazon’s response final, leaving me with no choice but to seek an alternative app store?
For context, my app has been available on the Apple App Store in Poland for years without any issues related to legal, cultural, or sensitivity concerns.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
