Critical Backend Synchronization Bug: Identity Verification Loop Affecting Multiple Developers

Dear Amazon Appstore Developer Support Team,

I am writing to formally report a persistent and widespread technical defect within the Amazon Appstore Developer Console.

Despite successfully completing the identity verification process—evidenced by the official system notice confirming that “Your account review is complete”—the developer dashboard remains locked in a continuous error loop. The red banner stating “Complete your account identity verification” fails to clear, which completely blocks any new application submissions or updates.

This is not an isolated incident concerning a single account. Through our active

developer network, we have verified that at least seven independent developers are experiencing this exact identical synchronization failure simultaneously on their dashboards. This strongly indicates a systemic backend glitch or caching defect in the automated verification clearance pipeline.

Given that this issue impedes our operational capacity to publish updates on the Appstore, we kindly request that this case be escalated directly to your tier-2 technical or backend engineering team. Please perform a manual override and force-refresh the account status on your servers to clear this erroneous flag.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. We look forward to a swift resolution.

Hi @Fatou_diop ,

Thanks for posting. We can see your account has passed Identity Verification, so you should be able to submit your app now.

To clarify the banners you saw: “Your account review is complete” refers to your account-level checks, which finished successfully. Identity Verification is a separate required step for all developers, and that has now cleared as well.

We appreciate you sharing your feedback and have passed it along to the relevant teams.
