Fire TV 4k Select not registered on Vega Studio

  1. Device is purchased from amazon

  2. OS: Os 1.1 (1001010051820)

    1. Serial: GT533M0751831MU3

My Fire TV 4k Select is connected onto my TV and powered by my laptop through USB.

I followed the steps to install and set up vega studio using this link Set Up and Use Vega Studio | Vega Get Started

I currently do not have my own email account, but I am using a peer’s token and login on the Fire Stick to temporarily set up the device.

However on Vega Studio, I cannot see my device registered on my extension even after building.

Hi @Mike_vu,

Welcome to Amazon Developer Community!!

Thank you for reaching out about your Fire TV 4k Select not appearing in Vega Studio.

I noticed that you mentioned you’re using a peer’s token to temporarily set up the device. This could be the root cause of the issue - the device needs to be registered under the same Amazon developer account that you’re using to log into Vega Studio.

Please check the following:

  1. Verify your device is registered: Go to Amazon Developer Sign-In and confirm that your Fire TV 4k Select Serial Number appears in the list of registered devices.
  2. Account matching: Make sure the Amazon developer account you’re logged into on Vega Studio is the same account that owns the device registration. Since you’re currently using a peer’s token on the Fire Stick, this mismatch could prevent the device from appearing in Vega Studio.
  3. Follow the setup guide: Please review the complete Fire TV setup instructions here: Run Your App on Vega Virtual Device or Fire TV Stick | Design and Develop Vega Apps - this covers the full device registration and configuration process.
  4. After registration: You may need to restart both the Fire TV device and Vega Studio for the device to appear.

Let me know if the device appears in the registered devices list, and we can troubleshoot further if needed.

Warm regards,
Aishwarya
