I need actual guidance here... Can somebody offer real support on what my next step should be?

I submitted everything they asked for and it was either overlooked or completely ignored. Please help.

They said that the app contained meta-data title resembling 3rd party content owned by Afterglow TV. Well, that’s just not the case because Afterglow TV is the name of an app, not a company. It doesn’t own anything, Afterglow Labs LLC owns Afterglow TV. I submitted a declaration of ownership stating as such.

Hey, I completely understand this frustration — I went through something similar where the rejection feedback didn’t match what was actually in my app and follow-up responses felt ignored.

A few things that might help in your situation specifically:

  • Put everything in writing in one clear message — your declaration of ownership, the distinction between Afterglow TV (the app) and Afterglow Labs LLC (the company), and a direct request for acknowledgment. Sometimes tickets get handled by different reviewers who don’t see the full history.
  • Reference the exact policy section they cited and explain point by point why your app doesn’t violate it — make it as easy as possible for the reviewer to say “yes, this is fine.”
  • Request an appeal or escalation explicitly — don’t just resubmit. Use the word “escalate” or “appeal” in your message so it’s harder to route back to the same reviewer.
  • Keep your tone calm and factual — I know it’s hard when you feel ignored, but a clear, businesslike message tends to get further than a frustrated one.

The ownership distinction you’re making (app vs company) is completely logical — hopefully a senior reviewer sees it that way too. Hang in there!

The same experience here.

I’ve been trying to resolve this for several weeks. No matter what questions I ask, I keep receiving the same template response.

At this point, it appears that previous review findings are simply being copied and pasted into new reviews without verifying whether the alleged functionality actually exists in the current version of the app.

I have repeatedly asked for:

  • The exact screen that triggered the finding
  • The specific feature that allegedly violates policy
  • Screenshots showing the issue

However, these questions have never been answered.

Thank you very much, this is great advice.
