Unable to Add a New Tester in Manage Testers

Hello Amazon Developer Community,

I’m currently unable to add a new tester from the Manage Testers section in the Amazon Developer Console.

This issue started after the recent changes/updates in the Amazon Developer Console. Previously, I was able to add testers without any issue, but now I’m unable to add a new tester.

Could someone please confirm if there have been any recent changes to the Manage Testers process or permissions? If there is a new procedure for adding testers, please guide me through the correct steps.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi @Fun_BirdStudio,

Thanks for flagging this. You’re correct that tester management changed recently. Per the App Testing Release Notes ( Release Notes | App Testing ) (September 28, 2026), Live App Testing was updated so you can now run up to five live app tests in parallel for a single app, and adding/removing testers (or resetting IAP) within one test no longer affects the other tests. Tester management is now handled through a group-based model.

Here is the current process for adding a tester, per the Manage Testers documentation ( Manage Testers | App Testing ):

Step 1 - Add the tester to a group (account level):

  1. From the Developer Console menu, select Tools & Services → Tester Management.
  2. Click Add new testers.
  3. Upload a CSV (email, first name, last name) or add testers individually.
  4. Under Add tester to tester group(s), create a new group or select an existing one - every tester must belong to at least one group.
  5. Accept the consent/rights statement and click Add.

Step 2 - Add that group/tester to a specific test:

  1. Open your app’s Live App Testing dashboard and select Manage testers on the in-progress test.
  2. Select Add new testers, choose the group(s) or individual testers, and click Save.

Most likely reason you’re blocked: The Manage testers button for a test is only active after the LAT app is published - it isn’t available before you submit the test or while the app is still publishing. If the button is greyed out or missing, confirm the test’s publish state first.

One thing to check: tester invitations expire 30 days after they’re sent; if an existing tester lost access, resend the invitation.

If you’re still blocked after this, could you share a screenshot and let us know whether it’s happening at the account level (Tester Management) or inside a specific test, plus any error message? That’ll help us pinpoint it.

Best regards,
Aishwarya

Hi Aishwarya,

Thank you for the detailed explanation. I understand the issue now.

Previously, there was an option to add new testers directly from the Manage Testers section in Live App Testing, but it looks like this option was removed after the recent update. I was confused because I was looking for the same option there.

Now I understand that testers need to be added through Tester Management first and then assigned to the specific Live App Test.

The issue is resolved now. Thank you very much for your help and for explaining the new tester management process so clearly.

Best regards,
