App icon disappears

Hi,

With FireOS 8.1.2.7 recent update side loaded apps do not show an icon on Home Screen. This happens not after the initial side load of the app but either after updating it or re-installing.

steps to reproduce:

  1. install any custom .apk file using downloader app
  2. verify the app works and icon shows up on home screen
  3. re-install the same .apk app overwriting the existing one
  4. icon no longer shows
    Is there a known issue?
