Two-step verification is a process that protects access to your information. Amazon requires two-step verification when you add or edit payment information in the Developer Console. Two-step verification uses either a one-time password sent by SMS text or phone call to your registered phone number, or a code in an authenticator app. You must be an account administrator to access the Payment Information page. All developers who want to update or access their payment information in the Amazon Developer Console must use two-step verification.
