Account locked temporarily

Dear Amazon Support Team,
I am facing an issue accessing my Amazon account and received a notification stating that my account has been temporarily locked since the last 3 months. I have followed all the policy guidelines, but can not access my account. There are 14 games live on my account, which I have developed after a lot of hard work & effort. I am unable to contact support because there is no means to contact them, as my account is locked temporarily. The email of my developer account is ( ******@outlook.com ). Kindly assist me in getting back access to my account. If you need any further information, I am more than happy to share. Thanks!

Hi @Ali_Hassan ,

Thanks for posting. Have you followed the instructions for recovering your account? It appears that your account has been locked on the Amazon.com retail side, not through the Amazon Developer Console.

To resolve this, please follow the instructions provided for unlocking your Amazon.com account and contact the Amazon Customer Service team for further assistance. The Appstore Developer Support team is not authorized to unlock accounts that have been locked by the Customer Service team.

Thanks for the earlier response. I understand that you mentioned the account might be locked from the Amazon.com (retail) side, and that recovery instructions are to be followed from there.

However, I want to clarify that I’ve already tried logging in through multiple Amazon platforms, and my account immediately shows “temporarily locked”, with no option to proceed or contact support from within the system. I’ve also not received any password reset or “account on hold” email, so I’m stuck without any recovery instructions.

After checking this forum, I noticed that many developers faced the same issue, and some were able to resolve it by:

  • Receiving a password reset or account recovery email from Amazon retail,
  • Or by directly contacting Amazon customer service (retail side) via phone — particularly +1 800-388-5512 or +1 877-586-3230 — and requesting to speak with a live representative by saying “I want to speak to a representative.”

Unfortunately, being located outside the U.S., calling these numbers is difficult, and without email instructions, I cannot proceed with any recovery steps.

Since I have 14 published games on my developer account and have always followed Amazon policy guidelines, I sincerely request help from someone at Amazon Support or the community team to escalate this issue. If there is any alternative method to verify my identity or regain access, I’m more than willing to cooperate.

I’m happy to provide any additional information needed.

Thanks in advance for your understanding and support.

Hi @Ali_Hassan ,

We have consulted with the Customer Service team regarding your account status. To resolve this, you can either complete the self-service form after signing in to Amazon.com, or call Amazon Customer Service at 1-888-280-4331 or 1-800-388-5512 to have a representative complete the form on your behalf. Unfortunately, we cannot provide any alternative solutions at this time.
