Extreme Sales Drop on Amazon Appstore – Real or Statistics Problem?

Sales/downloads drop on Amazon Appstore is extreme. This time don’t tell me everything at your side is correct and you don’t see any problem because my analytics show pretty different numbers.

These are the statistics shown in Developer Console:

We’re experiencing the same issue as well.
For us, it started on December 15.

Three different analytics systems integrated into our games show increased traffic and purchases, while Amazon Appstore stats for the same dates are noticeably lower.

I’d like to add an important clarification regarding the data discrepancy.

Starting December 15, following the issue described above, we see a significant drop in installs and purchases in Amazon Appstore statistics.
At the same time, in the Amazon Appstore Console → Engagement section, the metrics behave as expected - we see a clear DAU increase during the same period.

In our case, such growth in engagement is not possible without new installs, which strongly suggests that user activity was present, while installs and sales may not have been fully reflected in the Appstore stats.

There was an issue that caused the drop in numbers around Dec-18, but it has now been fixed and the sales data has been backfilled. Please review the report and let us know if you are still experiencing any issues. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

We reviewed the report, but the issue is still present in the Amazon Appstore Console. In our case, the discrepancy started on Dec-15 (not around Dec-18), and the Console numbers are still lower than what we see in our in-game analytics. The trend in the Console → Engagement section looks consistent, which makes the mismatch more noticeable.

Could you please re-check the fix/backfill starting from Dec-15 and confirm that all data in the Console has been fully restored?
