Reported Sales Decreasing & Significant Drop in Monthly Sales Since June 2025

We are writing to seek clarification regarding an issue we have been observing in our developer account since approximately June 2025. We publish several apps and games on the Amazon Appstore, and we have noticed two concerning trends that we would appreciate assistance investigating.

1. Decrease in Reported Sales Figures

On multiple occasions (including today), we observed that the total number of reported sales has decreased instead of increased. Previously recorded sales appear to have been adjusted downward. This is unexpected, and we would like to understand what might cause reported sales numbers to be revised in this way.

2. Significant Drop in Monthly Sales Volume

Additionally, we have experienced a substantial decline in monthly sales. Historically, we maintained a significantly higher monthly average, but this has decreased by approximately 40–50% compared to our previous performance.

During this period:

  • We have continued updating and maintaining our apps regularly

  • We have not made significant changes to metadata, pricing, or targeting

  • We have not implemented changes that would negatively impact visibility or ranking

Given this, we would appreciate support in reviewing whether there have been:

  • Any algorithm or ranking adjustments

  • Changes to device compatibility or visibility

  • Any account-specific issues affecting discoverability

  • Reporting corrections, refund adjustments, or policy changes impacting displayed sales

We are committed to maintaining high-quality apps and ensuring full compliance with all store policies. Understanding the cause of these changes is very important to us so we can respond appropriately.

Currently, we do not see any technical issues that may be causing low app downloads. If you want to check the app’s device compatibility, you can go to the app detail page > App Status > Test Details and look for the Functionality Validation section to see if the app has failed on any devices during testing.

I see almost 50% difference between reported Units Sold and our own analytics.

It’s happening today as well. I don’t understand what’s going on or what we did wrong for all of this to happen only to us. Other devs aren’t facing these issues.
