Hello Amazon Developer Support,
I would like to report a potential backend issue affecting the Appstore submission and review workflow.
The issue appears to be occurring at the backend processing level: valid game submissions are being left in the “In Review” state without progressing normally through the review pipeline.
This does not appear to be a normal content-policy or application-compliance issue. The applications are submitted correctly, and the problem appears to occur after submission, during the processing, routing, or synchronization of the submission with the review infrastructure.
I would strongly recommend having the engineering team investigate the backend workflow for the affected submissions, specifically:
- Submission processing and job execution
- Review-queue assignment and queue processing
- Backend status transitions
- Synchronization between the Developer Console and Appstore review services
- Failed, delayed, or orphaned review-processing jobs
- Any backend errors associated with submissions remaining indefinitely in “In Review”
In particular, please verify whether the submissions are actually reaching the review/testing pipeline or whether they are being correctly registered in the backend but failing to transition to the next processing state.
The issue has previously appeared to be resolved after contacting support, but the same behavior returned afterward. This suggests that the underlying issue may not be limited to an individual submission and could potentially involve a backend service, synchronization layer, or review-queue processing component.
Please escalate this to the appropriate engineering/backend team and have them inspect the server-side logs and submission-processing records rather than treating this solely as a standard review-delay case.
I would appreciate confirmation that the backend review pipeline and submission-state synchronization have been checked for the affected account and submissions.
Thank you.
